Executive Director, Versat Automobile, Ebere Anenih, said the gathering is not only about the unveiling of the trucks, but also about the introduction of a brand, a brand built on vision, experience, and a deep commitment to supporting Nigeria’s industrial and economic growth.

networking opportunities.

Unique features

Propeller power is a strong point. The U400 6×4 is equipped with a high-output 400HP engine delivering up to 1800Nm of torque, providing strong pulling power and consistent performance in demanding environments.

Its high-strength steel chassis and reinforced components ensure durability on tough terrain, while optimized fuel efficiency, enables by next-generation engine combustion systems and high-efficiency turbocharger technology, supports faster payback and lower operating costs.

With excellent ground clearance, robust axles, increased capacity cooling systems and high load-bearing capacity, the truck delivers stability and reliability both on and off-road, making it well-suited to Nigeria’s operating conditions.

Meanwhile in her welcome speech,
Anenih (managing director of the company)
said
Versat Automobile Limited was established with a clear purpose: to deliver reliable, high-performance commercial vehicles backed by strong after-sales support and genuine customer partnership.

“Our mission is simple but powerful — to provide transportation solutions that businesses can depend on. Solutions that are durable, efficient, and engineered for the realities of our operating environment. In essence, vehicles that are truly made for Nigeria to deliver value without compromise,” she said.
Continuing, she said
“Today also marks the first major step in bringing that mission to life. In a few moments, we will officially unveil our Heavy-Duty Truck range — products carefully selected and engineered to meet the demands of logistics, construction, and infrastructure sectors. These trucks are built for performance, designed for durability, and supported for uptime. While I will not take away the excitement of the official reveal, I can say with confidence that what you are about to see represents strength, reliability, and long-term economic value for fleet owners and operators.

“That is why we are proud to be launching this range in collaboration with our technical and manufacturing partners, C&C Trucks.”
The managing director explained that
“This partnership ensures that the trucks we introduce today are not only globally competitive but also locally relevant, designed for our roads, our climate, our loads, and our business realities.

“We see today not as a finish line, but as a starting point — the beginning of a long-term journey to support our customers with dependable vehicles, strong service backing, and a brand they can trust,” she said.
Similarly, Ifeanyi Igbokwe, After-Sales Manager of Versat Automobile, disclosed that the truck comes with a 2-year warranty or 2,000km or whichever comes first, emphasizing that the warranty covers the engine and the powertrain.

“For each truck we sell, we will offer free driver training, which will not be a one-off thing but continuous,” he assured.

Igbokwe also stressed
that the company’s vision goes beyond product performance, engineering strength and operational capacity.

True customer confidence and long-term success in the commercial vehicle sector, he said, are built on reliable and consistent after-sales support.

Igbokwe explained that at Versat, the sale of a truck marks the beginning of a long-term relationship with customers, not the end. He noted that the real value of a commercial vehicle brand is measured by how well it supports customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their trucks, especially in Nigeria’s demanding operating environment.

This philosophy, he said, is embedded in what the company calls the Versat Aftersales Advantage—a structured, dependable and customer-focused support system designed to keep trucks on the road, reduce downtime and protect customer investment.

Igbokwe disclosed that the company’s service network is supported by trained and certified technicians with deep product knowledge, capable of carrying out diagnostics, maintenance and repairs efficiently. Through continuous training and direct technical support from manufacturing partners, Versat aims to deliver service standards that meet global benchmarks while remaining fully suited to local operating conditions.

He also emphasised the importance of Versat’s structured warranty programme, which supports every truck sold by the company.

According to him, the warranty is designed to protect customer investment and reinforce confidence in the durability, reliability and engineering integrity of the brand’s heavy-duty trucks.

Igbokwe concluded by assuring customers that choosing Versat means buying into a complete support system that prioritises uptime, reliability and long-term operational value.

As the company officially enters the Nigerian market, he reaffirmed Versat’s commitment to stand behind every truck it sells with the right parts, skilled personnel, strong technical support and a long-term dedication to customer success.

In his presentation, the Sales Manager of Versat Automobile, Umo Ekanem, said that the new truck, founded by two strong entities, C&C and Cherry Group, was adopted into the Nigerian market due to its amazing features.

Describing the truck as a vehicle with safe, high performance, good appearance and robust fuel economy, Ekanem noted that the C&C U400 heavy-duty truck has the safest cabin construction.

In terms of truck appearance, Ekanem said the vehicle is a very simple truck and not complicated, adding that “any driver can drive it and use it because it is not complicated. It doesn’t need much fuel or maintenance. The truck has very high ground clearance. Whoever buys it has peace of mind.”

Speaking in the same vein, a key business partner, Senior Marketing Manager, Chery Commercial Vehicle International, Ben Jin, endorsed the authenticity of Versat Automobile Limited products.

Jin said Chery Group and C&C Group started the visionary collaboration many years ago, and that Versat Automobile was brought in to serve as a strong backup, especially in spare parts and other needs.

Jin said Chery Group sold about 2.8 million vehicles, and its revenue rose to tens of billions of US dollars last year.

Chery Group reported total revenue of about $59.7 billion in 2025, according to the Fortune Global 500 ranking.

“Chery Group ranked 233rd in the 2025 Fortune Global 500”, the Marketing Manager said.

The highpoint of the event was the unveiling of the impressive trucks by the Chairman of Versat Automobile Limited, Alhaji Francis Ogboro, who checked both the interior and exterior of the vehicles on display.

Ogboro had presented awards to some of their biggest customers. First was his presentation to their first customer, Ofodile.
The other awardee was also a partner, Senior Marketing Manager, Chery Commercial Vehicle International, Ben Jin.

The event was well attended by stakeholders in the nation’s automotive industry and beyond.
